About Us
Wasl for Peace is a youth-led, non-governmental, independent, and non-profit organization that works in the fields of peacebuilding and youth empowerment to contribute effectively to achieving sustainable development. It was established as a youth initiative in 2013 with the aim of promoting peacebuilding within the community. Over time, its activities expanded to include multiple areas. In 2020, it transitioned from a youth initiative to an official youth organization under license number 34. The organization operates across the Republic of Yemen, with its headquarters located in the city of Taiz.

Date of Implementation:2024. Supporting Entity: Youth Without Borders Organization, funded by the Dutch Embassy. Project Idea: The project aims to enhance cooperation and communication between security institutions and military units in Taiz Governorate during 2024. The project includes several measures to achieve this goal, starting with activating and equipping the joint operations room with the necessary infrastructure, including furniture and required devices according to the needs memorandum submitted by the Security Administration. Special training programs were implemented for the employees working in the room in various fields such as digital security, computer skills, archiving, and communication. These programs contributed to improving the efficiency of the members and officers of the joint operations room by providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge. The room will be able to enhance its readiness to face various security challenges, contributing to securing a safe environment for citizens and increasing trust in the security efforts being made. Target Group: 150 youth (100 men and women), 20,000 indirectly targeted individuals from the youth and stakeholders.
