The Unleash Initiative is a global nonprofit platform aimed at accelerating the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by empowering talented youth from around the world. The initiative annually gathers thousands of innovative young individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds to develop creative solutions to pressing global challenges.

Unleash employs an interactive methodology that combines theoretical and practical learning. Participants receive training and mentorship from experts across various fields, empowering them to develop their ideas and transform them into actionable projects.

Unleash Yemen
Unleash Yemen is being held for the first time in the country, marking a transformative step in the field of innovation and youth entrepreneurship in Yemen. This initiative aims to bring together talented Yemeni youth from various disciplines and backgrounds, offering them a global platform to showcase their ideas and innovative solutions to challenges facing their country and the world.

Festival Concept:
The Taiz Entrepreneurial Festival is the first of its kind in the city, aiming to highlight the importance of entrepreneurship and shed light on small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The festival will be held over three days, from December 1 to December 3, 2024, in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, at the Taiz Tourist Club (Al-Taawon Park).

The festival will target 90 small and medium enterprises, whether production-based or service-oriented. It will provide dedicated spaces for showcasing and promoting the products and services of these businesses during the event days. The festival is expected to attract approximately 3,000 visitors, including representatives from official entities, companies, entrepreneurs, civil society organizations, activists, influencers, media professionals, and the general public.

Conference Concept:
TEDxTaiz is a locally organized, independently licensed event under the global TED organization. It is dedicated to sharing groundbreaking and valuable ideas in various fields, including science, technology, art, and humanities. TEDx events stand out for their diverse lineup of speakers, featuring experts, academics, artists, and influencers from around the world.

TEDxTaiz Standard is a significant initiative for Taiz, emerging as the first event of its kind in the city post-war. It has successfully established itself as a beacon of cultural and intellectual revival in Yemen, serving as an exemplary model for building a community of knowledge and innovation.

The event hosted 11 speakers, presenting impactful ideas and addressing key societal issues, enriching the platform with their inspiring stories and experiences. TEDxTaiz also celebrated the city’s artistic heritage by featuring performances, producing new creative works, and revitalizing traditional cultural expressions, reflecting Taiz’s deep and vibrant legacy.

Far from being just an event, TEDxTaiz was a defining moment in the city’s history. Over 150 volunteers, consultants, and trainers from the region delivered extraordinary efforts that contributed to the success of this historic event, leaving a lasting imprint on Taiz’s cultural landscape.

Project Concept:
TEDxTaiz Countdown is a unique event held for the first time in the city of Taiz, serving as a platform to unleash creativity and exchange ideas on some of the most pressing global and local issues, particularly those affecting Taiz.

As part of the event, an initiative was undertaken to revitalize one of the city’s key youth spaces, focusing on global Countdown themes such as reforestation and recycling. This effort aimed to create a beautiful and welcoming environment for the youth of the governorate.

The event’s success was the result of the collective efforts of a dedicated team of young volunteers who prepared and executed the event with professionalism. TEDxTaiz Countdown stands as a testament to the aspirations of Taiz’s youth for a brighter and more prosperous future.

Honoring Wasl for Peace at the conclusion of the summer sports club centers organized by the Youth and Sports Office for its contribution to the success of cultural and youth programs within the Youth and Sports Office.

The Taiz Governorate Police Department honored Wasl for Peace for its prominent role in contributing to the improvement and elevation of security levels in the governorate.

Wasl for Peace participated in the Build It Up entrepreneurship incubator, aimed at building the capacity of various types of entrepreneurship projects. The organization, as one of the community entrepreneurship projects, received four months of training supported by the Shabab Saba Foundation in 2020.

Wasl for Peace was honored by the UN Volunteers Program in Sana’a in conjunction with International Volunteer Day in recognition of the efforts made by the team throughout 2019.
